Protect Your Passwords

thiefCan’t say what’s causing the problem, but there seems to be a rash of hacking going on lately.   Just last week we had a client’s email get hacked, and then another’s blog was hacked. In the case of the email, the client is handling it since it is a generic email account. The blog page required locating the code and then removing it using the Editor available in the Word Press Dashboard.

Don’t know what if anything can be done to prevent this, however, we would recommend you log out of any account that requires a password. Another way to possibly avoid this would be to change the password to your accounts multiple times throughout the year. And, when you’re changing those passwords, make them difficult by using a mixture of letters (upper and lower case), numbers, and special symbols. Easy way to get around having to remember all those new passwords is to get Roboform.  (Visit the link for a FREE Trial)  You’ll only have to remember one password to access the program and then Roboform does the rest.
